The first Akko-Qinhuai Food-Tech Conference in Akko, Israel

As part of the agreement between the city of Akko and Qinhuai municipality of Nanjing to cooperate as twin cities, and following the decision of the Israeli government to designate the north of Israel as the center of food-tech innovation; the Akko City Council had the honor to host in Israel the first Akko – Qinhuai Food Tech delegation of senior food industry officials from Nanjing Province, as well as top Food Tech experts from Israel startups community, held in Akko, Israel. During the three days event (May 1st-May 3rd) a roadshow of both Israeli and Chinese leading Foodtech companies was held; the companies shared their development of innovative, revolutionary, state of the art technologies, and visited leading Israeli factories and plants in the north of Israel. 

The Gala event was attended by both Akko and Qinhuai city officials and leading figures in the Israeli food industry, including: Akko Mayor Mr. Shimon Lankri , Qinhuai district Vice Mayor of Nanjing Ms. Sun Li, as well as Chinese embassy Representatives to Israel – Economic and Commercial Counselor Mr. Wu Bin and Cultural Attach Mr. Wan Ting. Ms. Sun Li was grateful for Akko invitation and innovative of this conference, emphasized the similarities between both cities and the great opportunity of promoting the business and culture between Akko and Qinhuai
